What are some of the Benefits of Yoga & Pilates Exercises?

What should I wear to a class?

...Always wear comfortable clothing that will allow you to stretch, bend, and move without restricting the breath. Always bring water to class.

Should I eat or not eat before a class?

...Please do not eat a heavy meal just before class.  You will be very uncomfortable.  A light meal 1hr before class should not present problems. I suggest juice, a smoothie or a small protein drink about 30min. before class.  Always bring water to class.

I am not very flexible--can I still do yoga?

...Yes!  If you can breathe and move at the same time, you can do yoga. Choose a Gentle Yoga class or any other class labeled Beginner or Introduction.  These classes are designed with you in mind.   They focus on slower more gentle stretching movements. You will still realize all the benefits of a much more advanced class without the risk of injury.
